Message from our CEO

It's fall!  Our team had our annual retreat just as the first leaves fell on Lake Lanier.  See photos below of the hardest working team in building product sustainability!  As a remote team, we cherish this time together.

At our retreat, data evolution was a hot topic.  Ecomedes led the market to move manufacturers from data Chaos to Aggregated Organization.  Now we are pioneering Interconnected Data with features like Product Data CSV.Downloads,  Project Sharing, and coming soon, Data Export Services.

We’re excited to welcome back Kate Bachner as Ecomedes’ new A&D Communications Manager!

With a background in green building design and sustainable materials, Kate brings firsthand insight into the challenges architects and designers face. She’ll be leading conversations across the A&D community—editing FORUM for Architects & Designers, curating thought-leadership webinars, and hosting our new podcast, Material FORUM.

Recap:  Sustainable Product Innovation with PMTC

On August 28, our Head of Product, Abid Saifee, led a live demo and discussion for the Portland Material Transparency Collaborative, a mission-driven network of building industry professionals dedicated to integrating full disclosure of material content as a performance benchmark in the way products are developed, designed and integrated into the built environment.

Abid presented on how Ecomedes is transforming and automating sustainable product selection and gave attendees a preview of our newest innovation: Scout by ecomedes. Thank you to everyone who joined us in Portland and online!
